I recently purchased these, even though I read some bad reviews... I was an idiot. I installed these and they are not bright, just a tad bit brighter than standard halogen, and a little whiter on the one bulb. The other bulb was a dull orange. I just wrote Sylvania to get them exchanged. They are horrible and not worth the money in my opinion. |

Good while they last |
Very bright but short lived.
I installed a set in my 2002 Honda CRV. One burned out in about 4 months and I don't have running lights. A call to Sylvania customer service gave a offer to send a new set if I returned the burnt out bulb with the sales reciept. OK thats nice, 2 for 1. Very generious,however the second set did not last any longer. Another call to C.S. This time the rep. was more helpfull or should I say truthful. I was informed that some makes of vechiles such as Honda and BMW, as well as other forgien makes run as high as 15 volts to the headlights causing premature failure of the Silver Star and Silver Star Ultra bulbs. Therefore Sylvania does not recomend them for these cars. Now they tell me.
I have had a set in my Chrysler T&C van for over 2 years. No problem.
Check with your dealer if your car is not US and save yourself money and aggravation.

My Honda Oddesey lights were dim. I found out this may be because I've had them for about 6 years. They will go dim over time. These new lights are wonderful! I installed them with latex gloves and they are still going strong. I don't do much night driving, so I expect they will last quite a long time. I haven't even had to use the brights yet!!! I definately recommend them! |

the silverstar it is briter than the normal headlight bulbs, you would be please with the product however I can not say how long it would last, I just got it for 2 weeks , I have read that they last 4-6 months due to they run hotter than the normal light. The shipping was real fast,..I paid for the light about half the price compared with other stores,...walt-mart...auto zone...advance auto..etc..

i did notice the increase |

my old lights seemed to be getting dim, so i upgraded before they went out. the old bulbs (2000 model year car) actually fell apart as i took them out! good timing i guess. i noticed the increase right away. worth the small amount of money i paid. |
