What's in the Box? 846 Quest rooftop cargo bag, 4 x attachment straps, stuff sack, and instruction guide Manufacturer's Warranty Limited lifetime warranty About Thule To say that Thule’s beginnings in the U.S. were humble would be an understatement. Founding member Ake Skeppner sold products at windsurf competitions on the New England shoreline, exhibited the product line at a number of different trade shows, and even canvassed local retailers in the greater New York area, all from his "office"--a now-famous station wagon. Initial success was found in the small but growing sport of windsurfing where a strong, reliable roof rack was an indispensable piece of equipment. This was quickly followed by success in the ski business where Thule's Swedish heritage certainly helped the product gain rapid acceptance. By the mid-1980s, the company sold products directly to ski and windsurfing shops but sold through distributors to address the large and growing bike business. A risky decision was made to terminate these distributor relationships and sell direct to retailers through a network of independent sales representatives. Much of the company's market success today can be traced to that decision. Shortly after, Ake hired an engineer and set up a small assembly plant in Elmsford, New York in order to design and manufacture bike carriers that would offer the features demanded by the U.S. consumer and compete effectively with other racks on the market. The company has since grown rapidly through product innovation, a commitment to quality, and the continuance of a strong entrepreneurial spirit as well as continuing to evolve their products to meet the needs of users. |

cargo bag..perfect for my Subaru Forester...that u can stuff! |
|
This is a great bag for road trips...but it is not weather-proof...I filled everthing into large garbage bags....everything made it to our destination dry with the bags.....This cargo bag can fit a lot of stuff....Our roadtrip to California to see the grandparents proved this...on the way home the cargo bag was stuffed to the gills with toys and camping gear. |

HOrrible! |
We strapped it according to directions on the top of our car. It rained some and was windy one day, but not downpours. Even though we had everything inside in super strong zip locks--everything (EVERYTHING) got soaked.I know it said it was water resistent (I think that was the word they used) but come on--this was bad!
So I returned the item and Theeasystore makes it so easy to return.

Best of the bags |
|
It's a very sturdy bag. Bag being the key word. If you're going to be using it often, spend the extra cash and get a hard enclosure. It's almost impossible to stuff it so that there are aerodynamics involved. This means you will usually end up killing your gas mileage with the semblance of a large air dam on the top of the vehicle. Under wet conditions, the bag performs as expected, however, in a hard rain prepare for wet luggage. I learned my lesson the first time when we got to the hotel and had to use the laundry room to wash 4 suitcases of clothing. Wrap everything in garbage bags if you can. Due to the fact it has a zipper, you can expect a soggy reception after you drive through a storm. |

Pleased with purchase |

Product is great. Allowed my family to pack needed items for our vacation that would not fit in our SUV. Provided plenty of room, easy to attach to car. Overall great product. |

great extra storage |
|
We used this on a vacation trip and loved it. Didn't seem to affect the gas mileage on a 6 hours trip. It didn't rain so can't comment on that but we put most things in plastic bags just in case. The side-to-side straps didn't fit across when the bag was loaded so we had to move things out of the middle. Then we just used a bungee cord on the way home. I would definitely recommend for the storage, convenience and quality. |
